2007 Promotions - Regional Managers

Kevin Johnson recently named Regional Pricing Center Manager
Kevin Johnson was recently named Regional Pricing Center Manager for the Midwest Region.  Kevin will be responsible for enhancing profit dollar opportunities by streamlining the processes and use of tools to drive gross profit in the Central and North Central Regions.  Kevin began his career with Ferguson in 1990 as a trainee in Atlanta, Ga., and has held various key positions in his career, including Operations Manager, Branch Manager and General Manager. 

“Gross margin enhancement is one of five major priorities of Ferguson and Wolseley,” Kevin said.  “It is very exciting to be a part of leading an initiative where we can drive incremental bottom line dollars by implementing tools to impact our company’s performance.”

A native of Tecumseh, Mich., Kevin is a 1990 graduate of Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich. 


John Jorstad named Regional Pricing Center Manager [ top ]
John Jorstad was recently named Regional Pricing Center Manager for the Southern Region.  John will be responsible for establishing a Regional Pricing Center for the Southern Region to support the branches with all aspects of pricing to optimize profitability. These include List Price Management, Price Matrix Reviews, Customer Contract Overrides, BPR Pricing Management and Price Matrix Management.

John began his career with Ferguson in 1989 as a trainee in Roanoke, Va., and has several key positions in his career, including Sales Manager, Branch Manager and General Manager. 

“I’m excited about the possibilities of working with the branches to raise margins by providing support and allowing them to focus on servicing their customers while we maintain pricing tools for them,” John said.

A native of Richmond, Va., John is a 1984 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.  He received an award in Sales and Leadership in 1992, and under his leadership, the Lilburn, Ga., branch received Satellite of Year in 1995.


Randy Muir named Manager of Regional Pricing Center [ top ]
Randy Muir was recently named Manager of the newly created Regional Pricing Center for the Atlantic Region.  The RPC-Atlantic is located in Radford, Va.

Randy began his career with Ferguson in 1983 as a trainee in Charlottesville, Va., and was quickly promoted to Outside Sales.  He was named General Manager Radford, Va., in 1992.  In 2005, he became Vice President of the Blue Ridge Business Group in Central and Southwest Va. 

“The intentions of the Regional Pricing Center – Atlantic are to bring improved consistency, efficiency, effectiveness and profitability to the pricing-management of this $1.8 billion region,” Randy said.

Randy is a 1983 graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.  While in Outside Sales, he was a multi-year President’s Club award recipient.  Under his leadership, the Radford branch won Most Improved Branch for 2003 - 2004.


Chuck Schwartz named GM of Chicago HVAC/R [ top ]
Chuck Schwartz was recently named General Manager of the Chicago HVAC/R branch. Chuck joined Ferguson as Operations Manager via the acquisition of Park Supply in 2005.

“I am grateful for the opportunity and excited about the challenge,” Chuck said.  “As General Manager, my focus shifts from managing processes, inventory and pricing to developing our associates, building a great management team, and strengthening our relationships with customers and vendors,” he added.  “I have more than 30 years in HVAC and plumbing distribution but have never worked for an organization with such incredible resources and career options for our associates.”

A native of Chicago, Ill., Chuck is a 1974 graduate of the University of Illinois.
