Intelligent Misting Systems Offer Unmatched Protection

Fire protection professionals now have an alternative way to meet building code and protect their customers with Automist by Plumis. This intelligent fire suppression system is a powerful new tool that quickly targets fire at its source and uses less water than traditional home systems. Email us today to learn more.

Plumis technology

In a modern kitchen, an Automist wall sprinkler sprays water at a saucepan burning on an island stovetop.

A world leader in intelligent fire suppression systems, Plumis designs technology that detects smoke and targets a fire’s location using thermal sensors, which can offer improved efficiency and activation speed over traditional methods.

In partnership with Ferguson, Plumis empowers installers to provide fire protection technology without the need for piping upgrades or additional setups for tanks and pumps.

Reap the benefits of an Automist automatic fire suppression system

A small-scale model shows Automist installed in a closet with graphics showing piping leading to the wall plate in a kitchen.

Automist is easy to install and uses 10 times less water than a typical 13D fire sprinkler system does, with a maximum water output demand of just 2.4 gallons per minute. This targeted system suppresses fire with less water damage.

Because Automist only fills with water when fire is detected, your customers have less risk of leaks and frozen pipes in the winter.

A discreet addition to any application, Automist offers an unobtrusive design with wall plates in a wide range of finishes.

A blue graphic shows a room layout in white, with an open door on the east wall. In the room, the Automist wall plate on the west wall sprays water at a flame on the north wall. A sensor is graphically shown in the center of the room. At the bottom, a picture of the Automist wall plate is shown with the text Spray Head underneath.

How Automist fire suppression works

When overhead smoke sensors are activated, Automist uses thermal sensing to scan the room and locate fire.

Once the fire is detected, Automist’s spray head aims a targeted, high-pressure stream of water mist to suppress the fire, minimizing damage to the rest of the space.

Automist applications

Conventional fire suppression systems can be challenging to install in areas of low water pressure or freezing or seismic risk zones. Automist offers fire protection professionals improved installation for these situations and more.

Residential fire suppression system

The wall-mounted Automist system doesn’t need bulky tanks and water pumps or major piping changes. The low-impact installation makes this ideal for custom homes, heritage buildings, retrofits, cabins and ADUs.
